Since the beginning of the year, we’ve been hearing a lot about the importance of spending our dollars in Canada. Now that the weather is nice, and if you’re able to in your region, here are some inexpensive staycation ideas:

  • National, provincial or city parks
  • Farmers’ markets near you or in other towns/cities
  • Heritage sites near you or in the next province
  • Museums and art galleries
  • Waterway attractions like locks, sailing, canoeing, paddle boarding, ferries, swimming, boardwalks and beaches
  • Wineries and breweries
  • Take a train to a nearby town and just explore it for the day without a set agenda
